The Beginning

Hello All! Welcome to the Poindexter coffee journal! Coffee is something that pretty much everyone in our family is very passionate about. And we are not just passionate about coffee, we are passionate about good coffee.
A close family friend once put it like this:

Maxwell House is to coffee as Miller Lite is to beer, as Justin Bieber is to men, as vuvuzelas are to symphony orchestra.

Wise man you are Sir Dzur! The same is true about pretty much any coffee that can be purchased in the grocery store.
Anyway, I (Grace) have officially embarked on a coffee tour of mainly KC, however, I am getting ready to head out to Colorado and am planning on checking out several places out there.
The point of this blog is to rate coffee shops based on their drip coffee, espresso and environment. Also, hopefully readers will gain a knew piece of knowledge about coffee each time they read a post on this blog. Such as how and where it grows best, how it's processed and much more. If you ever have a coffee related question, or piece of knowledge to share, please, by all means, share it!
